God's Promise

These pictures were taken from my front porch on Monday evening. Aren't they beautiful? Rainbows are a symbol of a promise from God. For a surprise treat, email me the passage in the Bible where the rainbow is mentioned and tell me what the rainbow meant.

Friday Fun

No. Megan didn't push Caitlyn off the swing. She fell. The old saying that you get better with age does not apply to Caitlyn's swinging abilities.

Yes. She was okay and she did get back up and swing again!

The Jolly Green Justin

Tonight we had a blast at Barren River State Park. We ate pizza and brownies and then played like little kids on the playground and enjoyed a competitive game of whiffle ball. Brother Joel's team of Carmen, Maegan, Austen beat Ms. Melanie's team of Megan, Justin, and Josh. I see a rematch in the near future! We decided that once school got out for the summer that we would have to bring some play clothes on Sunday nights and play after church. Carmen said that we could always wear our play clothes under our church clothes (this is an inside joke from Carmen's first trip to camp). It was a great night enjoying each other's company in God's great creation!

The Wilds Memory Verses

If you would like a head start on your scripture memory passages for camp this summer go to
http://wilds.org/twca/TW-Summer-Scripture-Memory-2009.pdf and print off the list. You will be able to start memorizing your passages before you ever get to camp.

TRASH

Today was the "Trash for Cash" program that the county sponsored. We started the morning very cold and even saw a few snowflakes, but we quickly warmed up and started shedding jackets and sweatshirts. We cleaned 5 miles of road and picked up a total of 30 bags of trash. We even got interviewed and our pictures taken for 2 newspapers. A special thanks to Mrs. Sherry for coordinating this fundraiser for us. I think everyone involved had fun while working and are even happier over the check the county is sending us!
