Spring Break Fun

On Tuesday, April 7 we will be going to Mammoth Cave National Park for a day of fun. We will spend the day exploring the cave and hiking in the park. You will need to bring a picnic lunch and make sure you wear tennis shoes. I will post times of departure and return as I confirm them.

Fundraisers

Our Wednesday meal for April 1 will be chicken casserole, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls, and dessert. The adult helpers are Connie, Regina, and Angel.

I am trying to get some car washes and the city trash pick-up scheduled so please let me know of your Saturday schedules for April and May.

Homework

Your homework for this week is to go to Answers in Genesis and find an article about Cain. You can find this easily by either typing Cain into the search engine there or looking under the tab Articles.

Once you have found an article and read it, email me the article title and a few comments on what you learned from the article.

We will be in Genesis 4 again this Sunday so read over that chapter so you can participate in Sunday School.

Welcome Days

The trip to Nashville for Welcome Days began with the van not starting. Imagine that! Thankfully it was only the battery. After stopping at Wal-Mart to buy a new one we were off. We arrived at the college, took a tour, and then left Maegan and Kari for the weekend. The rest of us headed off to Opry Mills where we ate supper and looked around for a while.

FWBBC Welcome Days

This is your last call to attend Welcome Days at the Bible College. The dates are March 26-28 (next weekend). I have got to call to tell them who is coming. If I haven't heard from you by this afternoon I will assume you are not going. Please email/call me if you are going.

Wednesday Meal

The menu this week is bar-b-que, hash brown casserole, baked beans, slaw, and punch bowl cake for dessert. The kitchen crew is Jeny, Joann, Marla, and Cindy. If you have any questions please let me know.

Homework

Your homework this week is to read Genesis 4 and make a family tree of the descendants of Adam that are listed in this chapter.


Remember the "Youth Group Food Fight" has been rescheduled for this Friday night. Be inviting your friends to this fun event.

Friday Night Activity

Our activity for this Friday night is "YOUTH GROUP FOOD FIGHT". You are to bring 1 food item with you in a bag so no one can see it. DO NOT tell anyone what you are bringing. This can be anything. Examples, butter, cheese, sour cream, canned item, ANYTHING.... You also need to bring $2.00. If you can't bring these items let me know. I don't want this to stop you from coming to the activity. Your mission will be explained when you arrive Friday night. Be at the church at 6:00pm. This is going to be an exciting night. Pass the word along to others.

Homework

Your homework this week is to read Genesis 3 and 4. Send me an email telling me something you learned from these chapters.

Praise the Lord!

Many of you may know that last year while we were at The Wilds I made a goal and told Brother Joel that I wanted to take 20 kids to camp this year. He laughed at me. Isn't he a great encourager?!? Tonight I reached that goal. We now have 22 kids going to camp this summer. Did you see that? 22! Praise the Lord!! That is 22 kids that are going to be able to grow closer to the Lord. 22 kids that are going to have the times of their lives. 22 kids that may be walking to North Carolina. Okay. So you probably won't be walking, but now we are going to pray that the transportation situation will be worked out. I am going to include a list of all the kids who are going to camp this summer. Print the list off, copy it, whatever...just be praying daily for each person on the list that God will move in their lives.

Wednesday Meal

This Wednesday's meal menu is spaghetti, salad, bread, and hot fudge cake. If you can make a plain chocolate cake (no icing) please let me know. I have a few but could use a couple more. Hopefully we will have a good turnout with being in revival with Brotherhood.
